Who am i?

Hiya! My name is Rhys E. Whitmore! I’ve been working in video production since 2017 when I started as a PA at WXXI (Rochester’s PBS affiliate) and I worked on my first feature film as a G&E Swing in 2020. Since then, I’ve worked on several long form projects every year, and more commercials than I can remember. That’s less a testament to how many, more an confession of my faulty memory.

I have worked as almost every job title in the Grip and Electric departments: Grip, Electrician, Best Boy, Key Grip, Gaffer, Dolly Grip (Rigging and Shooting variants of all.) If you need an explanation of some of these, I put handy descriptions in my Services.

I have shot oodles of live events, live news shows, live music (handheld, on stage, shoulder mount, tripod, etc.),documentaries, music videos, corporate interviews, paranormal investigations, are you impressed yet?
